ERAS Application

ERAS® — The Electronic Residency Application Service – is a service that transmits residency applications, letters of recommendation, MSPEs, transcripts, and other supporting credentials from applicants and medical schools to fellowship, osteopathic internship and residency programs using the Internet.

Main Residency Match

WVU Neurology uses the NRMP's web-based Registration, Ranking and Results (R3 System. All Match participants are able to access general information about the Match at www.nrmp.org

The National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) is a private, not-for-profit corporation established in 1952 to provide a uniform date of appointment to positions in graduate medical education (GME) in the United States.

Applicant registration for the 2010 Match opened on August 2009. Registration for programs opens September 1, 2009.

Important dates for the 2010 NRMP Residency Match:

2010 Main Match Schedule
August 15, 2009 Applicant registration begins at 12:00 noon eastern time.
September 1, 2009 Institution / program registration begins at 12:00 noon eastern time.
November 30, 2009 Applicant registration deadline
Note: Applicants may register after this deadline by paying an additional late registration fee of $50.00 when registering after 11:59 p.m. eastern time.
January 15, 2010 Rank order list entry begins.
Applicants and programs may start entering their rank order lists at 12:00 noon eastern time.
January 31, 2010 Quota change deadline
Programs must submit final information on quotas and withdrawals by 11:59 p.m. eastern time.
February 24, 2010 Late registration deadline

Rank order list certification deadline
Applicants and programs must certify their rank order lists by 9:00 p.m. eastern time. Staff will be available to answer your questions during the final deadline hours. CERTIFIED applicant and program rank order lists and any other information pertinent to the Match must be entered in the R3 System by this date and time.

Withdraw Deadline
Independent applicants who have accepted a position through another national matching plan or by agreement outside the Matching Program must withdraw by 9:00 p.m. eastern time.
March 15, 2010 Applicant matched and unmatched information posted to the Web site at 12:00 noon eastern time.
March 16, 2010 Filled and unfilled results for individual programs posted to the Web site at 11:30 a.m. eastern time.

Locations of all unfilled positions are released at 12:00 noon eastern time. Unmatched applicants may begin contacting unfilled programs at 12:00 noon eastern time.
March 18, 2010 Match Day! Match results for applicants are posted to Web site at 1:00 pm eastern time.
March 19, 2010 Hospitals send letters of appointment to matched applicants after this date.

Note:

Any contact between programs and unmatched applicants (or their designees) prior to 12:00 noon eastern time, Tuesday, March 16, 2010, is a violation of the Match Participation Agreement. Contact between programs and matched applicants prior to the general announcement of 2009 Match results at 1:00 pm eastern time Thursday, March 18, 2010 also is a violation of the Match Participation Agreement
