About Us

The faculty, residents, and administrative staff of WVU’s Department of Neurosurgery make the training of the future generation of neurosurgeons our top priority. As the largest provider of neurosurgical care in the region, our residents are exposed to all aspects of neurosurgical disease. Our program is based upon the concept of both a broad and rigorous exposure to all the subspecialties of neurosurgery. This translates to the residents being exposed to a broad range of options and expertise in the management of neurosurgical disease.

We are committed to adding value to every facet of your training. You shall be taught and individually mentored, evaluated and promoted, and also asked to evaluate us and help the program integrate numerous innovations.
