Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Gynecologic Oncology

The Division of Gynecologic Oncology is devoted to the care of women with gynecologic malignancies and pre-malignant conditions. we provide comprehensive service for our patients - from the most complex surgical interventions to chemotherapy and radiation therapy as well as research programs in screening and prevention. We also participate in the clinical trials of the Gynecologic Oncology Group. All patients are seen in the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center and undergo a thorough evaluation by a Gynecologic Oncologist. Patients are seen in conjunction with an oncology nurse and a Gynecologic Oncology social worker. In addition to treatment related issues, emotional, spiritual and financial aspects of care are addressed with every patient so appropriate and timely therapy can be planned. Surgical, radiation and medical oncology consultations are available in the cancer center where we truly offer a multi-disciplinary approach to the treatment of gynecologic cancer.
