Our mission in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is to advance women’s reproductive health by integrating compassionate clinical care with cutting edge, high quality technology and with outstanding reproductive science research. We also seek to educate the next generation of highly competent Obstetricians and Gynecologist that will serve our state and country.

Our Goals

The goals of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology are to seek a high level of excellence in clinical service, education, and research. Our specific goals are to:

1. Offer our patients the best reproductive health care that is available in America.
2. Incorporate new and innovative medical practices to our clinics that will guarantee that WVU patients will have access to cutting edge medicine.
3. Offer outreach services and referral care that will allow all of the citizens of West Virginia to have access to excellent reproductive health care.
4. Train our medical students and residents to be knowledgeable and empathetic care givers.
5. Conduct research in those areas that will enhance the quality of life of women.
