Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Urogynecology

Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery services include a full range of resources for evaluation, surgical therapy, physical medicine and behavioral modification. Three of our faculty form a team that approaches incontinence and pelvic floor disorders with clinical expertise and commitment to making a regional impact on women's health.

With fellowship training in the subspecialty and collaboration with the division of urology, we can offer the depth and breadth of services for incontinence and other disorders of the female pelvic floor. A brand new urodynamics suite with multichannel cystometrics, cystoscopy and biofeedback are available. Patients with urinary and fecal incontinence, overactive bladder, pelvic organ prolapse, interstitial cystitis and other pelvic pain syndromes will be met with a multidisciplinary approach to their problem.

Current research interests within the division include incontinence and prolapse in medically underserved populations, new surgical approaches and inter-divisional collaboration within obstetrics and gynecology. We work closely with our other divisions to maximize the quality of patient care and resident education.
