Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology -
WVU Center for Reproductive Medicine
The Division of Reproductive Endocrinology provides Life Span care and consultative services for both males and females ranging in age from infants to the geriatric population who present with developmental, endocrine or metabolic disorders that impact upon their reproductive tract. The division also provides care for individuals with disorders of gender identity. The bulk of the division's clinical service involves the management of infertility ranging from the basic work-up to assisted reproductive technologies. Three subspecialty certified faculty assure a spectrum of clinical and academic expertise. Extensive experience with pelvic ultrasound and experience in endoscopic surgery occur during the Reproductive Endocrine rotation. Research programs in contraceptive technology, basic reproductive physiology, and interactions with the Departments of Animal Science, Human Physiology, and Exercise Physiology are a fertile ground for resident physicians seeking preparation for fellowship experience.
