Through the efforts of many in the School of Medicine and led by the Office of Medical Education, the WVU School of Medicine MD Degree Program just recently received continued full accreditation for the next 8 years.

Dr. Shumway was recently elected national chair of The Generalists in Medical Education. He will be presiding at The Generalists in Medical Education Annual Conference in Boston, MA in November, 2009.

Dr. Cottrell is co-chairing the Generalists in Medical Education national conference in Boston, MA in November, 2009.
