Diana Middleton Davis received her Bachelor's in occupational therapy from Western Michigan University. Following graduation she worked for four years at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles CA in rehab, skilled nursing, and acute care. She then moved to Louisville KY where she worked in a rehab setting providing both inpatient and outpatient care, developing new programs, and mentoring other OTs. Diana relocated to Morgantown WV in 1997 to initiate occupational therapy services in Ruby Memorial Hospital and to provide some classroom instruction. She has been working at West Virginia University full time as an Assistant Professor since 1999. She received her Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Higher Education Administration from WVU.
Diana's primary teaching assignments are in the professional foundations, assessment and evaluation, and treatment. Diana also has an interest in legislative issues related to OT and is currently serving as president of West Virginia Occupational Therapy Association.
Diana's professional interests include the use of technology in education and she has developed many web based instruction techniques for use in occupational therapy including online class formats, CD-ROMs of common lab skills, and development of the distance education program. Diana has presented at national, regional, and state conferences on a variety of topics. |
