Charles E. Haislip, MD

Specializing in General Otolaryngology
Dr. Charles Haislip is a native West Virginian. He completed undergraduate and medical school at WVU, receiving his MD degree in 1966. He then did a year of internship at Bayshore Hospital in Florida and returned to WVU to complete a residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. After completing residency in 1974 he entered private practice in Fairmont, WV.
In 1974, Dr. Haislip was appointed to the clinical faculty at WVU
and served as a volunteer faculty member throughout his many years
in private practice in Fairmont. He joined our Department as a
full-time faculty member in March 2004. Dr. Haislip regularly sees patients at the Physician Office Center in Morgantown and at St. Joe's Hospital in Buckhannon.
He also supervises the Otolaryngology Service at the Veterans
Administration Hospital in Clarksburg.
He sees patients with all types of ear, nose and throat problems. He is particularly interested in cases of hearing loss related to noise exposure.
On a personal note, Dr. Haislip is married and has three children. For relaxation, he enjoys golf, boating and reading.
