Ronald L. Wilkinson, MD

Specializing in General Otolaryngology
Dr. Ronald Wilkinson was born, raised, and educated in West Virginia. He attended college and medical school at WVU. He completed his internship at Yale-New Haven Hospital and his otolaryngology residency training in 1973 at West Virginia University Hospital. He served two years as a major in the US Army and was chief of the ENT clinic at Lyster Army Hospital at Fort Rucker, Alabama.
Dr. Wilkinson retired from full-time practice in Charleston, WV, in August 2001, after more than 26 years in private practice. He joined our department on an almost full-time basis. He has special interests in teaching medical students and otolaryngology residents.
His medical interests are in the areas of general otolaryngology, pediatric otolaryngology and the dizzy patient.
On a personal note, he has two children. His daughter is a hospitalist at the Newton-Wellsly Hospital in Boston and his son lives and works at Nags Head, North Carolina. His wife has a PhD in counseling and spirituality. His hobbies include fitness training, golf, and volunteer activities.
