Jamey Friebe-Cost, MSIII; Peilin Zhang, MD; Jason C. Fowler, PA
Patient History
A 25-year-old white male presented to the Family Medicine Clinic complaining of difficulty breathing and a feeling of fullness in the right side of his neck. The patient is a college junior majoring in philosophy. He states that he smoked cigarettes for a short time, and he rarely drinks alcohol. His past medical history is unremarkable. He takes Clinoril twice daily and Neurontin once at bedtime for shoulder discomfort. His family history is significant for a mother with a benign multinodular goiter and breast cancer. His physical exam was negative except for fullness in the right supraclavicular fossa of his neck. Computed tomography (CT) scans and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) were ordered.
