SELECTION CRITERIA
WV CHAPTER AWARDS

  1. Must be currently Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics
     

  2. Provides children in his/her community with a compassionate, comprehensive, and caring medical service on a continuing basis.
     

  3. Is directly and effectively involved in community affairs and activities that enhance the quality of life for children in his/her home area.
     

  4. Provides a credible role model as a healer and human being to his/her community, and as a professional in the science and art of pediatric medicine to colleagues, other health professionals and especially to young physicians in training and to medical students.
     

  5. Must be in good standing in his/her medical community.
     

  6. Must be a member of the WV Chapter, and actively participate in the programs.
     

  7. Must be an advocate of all children, regardless of sex, race, religion, social standing or economic status.

(AFC)
  1. Must be currently Board-certified in Pediatrics.
     

  2. Must be in good standing in his/her medical community.
     

  3. Must be a member of the WV Chapter, and actively participate in its' programs.
     

  4. Has initiated, developed, supported programs in his/her community or on the state level the advocate the health and safety or children.
     

  5. Has given credible leadership to such program(s).

(FOC)
  1. Must be a resident of West Virginia or a group with main organization headquartered in West Virginia.
     

  2. Has made a public commitment to the improvement of health and safety of children.
     

  3. Has initiated, developed, expanded, or supported programs that have actually improved the health and safety of children.
