Department of Pediatrics
Outpatient Care
Patients between the ages of 10 and 21 years of age may be seen in Pediatric and Adolescent Group Practice (PAGP) or Adolescent Clinic.
The physicians in Adolescent Clinic seek out the best qualities in every adolescent. Every young person is encouraged to recognize his/her worth and make the most of this potential. Individuals are encouraged to be responsible for their own health and happiness. Parents are encouraged to support this effort.
Adolescent Clinic provides guidance to teens and will encourage healthy nutrition and life-style habits. Young patients are encouraged to postpone sexual activity and avoid risk taking. Safety habits are encouraged and school problems are addressed.
Research shows that in our clinic population, tobacco use is above the national average. Patients and parents are asked to work with us to decrease this problem.
