The West Virginia University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The WVU Office of CME designates this activity for a maximum of 1 category 1 credit toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits he/she actually spent in the activity.
Target Audience: The faculty, staff, community physicians, resident physicians, and students from the Departments of Pediatrics, Medicine, Otolaryngology, Anesthesia, Neurology, Pathology, Behavioral Medicine, Community Medicine, OB/GYN, Radiology, Emergency Medicine, Ophthalmology, Surgery, Orthopedics and Urology.
Objectives: Following this series, participants should be able to discuss new diagnostic or therapeutic measures for treatment of medical problems; to test most up-to-date recommendations for prevention and screening; to discuss aspects of controversial issues and to describe the cost effectiveness of various aspects of health care reform.
