My primary research interests are focused on local control of microvascular blood flow and vascular mechanotransduction.  Within these interests, I investigate how pathologies such as hypertension and/or dietary salt can alter normal physiologic function.  In-vivo microscopy is the primary technique used to explore these interests.  Additional techniques such as Western blotting and microvascular cell imaging complement our primary studies.  Furthermore, isolated vessel techniques are soon to be incorporated in our studies.
