Two of our faculty have recently been recognized for their outstanding research and educational activities:

Jeff Frisbee has been selected to be Editor-in-Chief of Microcirculation

Dave Smith received the Percival L. MacLachlan Award, which is chosen by the 2nd year medical student class for "unusual teaching ability and sincere interest in the progress of the entire class"

Distinguished Teacher Award
Dr. Mark Paternostro has received the 2009 School of Medicine Distinguished Teacher Award. Dr. Karen Woodfork and Dr. Dave Smith have received the Dean's Excellence Award in Education for their participation in the Second Year Curriculum Development Committee which reorganized the 2nd year medical curriculum. These faculty will officially receive their awards at the SOM Awards Convocation April 20th at 5 pm in the Okey Patterson Auditorium.
