Narrative:
Dr. Mancinelli joined the faculty at WVU in 1993. She currently oversees much of the anatomy, kinesiology and geriatric course content. Her clinical expertise is in the area of adult reconstructive surgery and falls and balance in the elderly.

Research:
Dr. Mancinelli is currently working on a research project with extramural support (15,000.00) which examines the efficacy of a novel balance device in patients with dizziness related to migraine headaches.

Clinical:
Dr. Mancinelli's clinical expertise includes arthrosis and joint replacement, balance and falls in the elderly and general orthopedics. She has an active clinical practice at one of the WVU out-patient affiliated services (Healthsouth Mountainview) and through the WVU Physical Therapy Group Practice.
Service:
Dr. Mancinelli serves as the Division Chair of Academic and Professional Standards. She is a member of the WVU Faculty Senate. She also is on the legislative committee for the WV chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association and serves as the state liaison for the APTA section on geriatrics. She is a former exam writer for the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy. She is a reviewer for the Journal of Biomechanics and Physiotherapy. |
