Division of Physical Therapy
Service to the State
The Division of Physical Therapy is dedicated to serving the citizens of West Virginia. The Division provides service to the state in the following ways:
- Largest provider of physical therapy education in the state (25-30 graduates per year)
- Active participant in WV Rural Health Education
- Provider of high quality evidence-based continuing medical education to WV physical therapists
- Many faculty serve in leadership positions within the WV Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association
- Provide direct patient care to the citizens of North Central West Virginia
- Participate in public health initiatives that seek to improve the health and wellness of WV citizens
- Serve as speakers and educators at local and state medical meeting and civic organizations
