Mission & Goals

The CAI’s Mission is to foster research, education and service in biomedical imaging. We aim to become a leading international research center with multidisciplinary interests, training outstanding graduate and postdoctoral researchers. We collaborate with WVU Departments and Research Centers with active research programs in science and engineering, and encourage research and training links with like centers outside of WVU. Our methods span magnetic resonance, radiochemistry, positron emission tomography, electrophysiology and multimodal integration of neuroimaging data. Our applied research foci include cancer and neuroscience. We maintain a community outreach program so as to be a source of expertise and authority on matters relating to imaging in the community.
