Infectious Diseases

West Virginia University, Department of Medicine seeks a faculty member to join the Section of Infectious Diseases.

We are seeking a full time faculty member, board-certified in Internal Medicine and board-certified/eligible in Infectious Diseases at the rank of assistant professor in the non-tenured Clinical Track starting January 1, 2008. Preference will be given to candidates also certified in Tropical Medicine and Traveler’s Health. Responsibilities will include inpatient Infectious Diseases consultation, attending on Medicine Service, outpatient care of patients with Infectious Diseases on site and at 2 additional sites as part of the Ryan White Funded Clinic for care of HIV infected patients. Position includes extensive teaching commitments including our annual Tropical Medicine Course. Clinical and epidemiologic research and scholarly activity are expected.
