West Virginia University School of Medicine is seeking qualified applicants with experience in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for full-time faculty positions in the Department of Internal Medicine, Section of Hematology & Oncology.
The successful candidate must be board certified in internal medicine, board certified/eligible in hematology and/or oncology, have a keen interest in BMT, and possess a commitment to excellence in patient care, research, and education.
The Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center, a comprehensive treatment, research, and education facility, offers a multidisciplinary approach and state-of-the-art care options to West Virginians and patients from five border states. A new 36-chair infusion center and renovated clinic space will be opening to accommodate rapidly expanding patient visits, which will double current clinic and lab space.
WVU Blood and Marrow Transplant/Hematologic Malignancy Program is the only program of its kind in West Virginia. The program is an NMDP transplant center and FACT accredited. On average the program performs 25 autologous and 25 allogeneic stem cell transplants per year. WVU Hospitals, Inc., a 450-bed facility, includes a Level 1 Trauma Center and Children's Hospital in addition to numerous other patient care units. Its affiliation with the School of Medicine assures an outstanding array of advanced technologies, as well as a collaborative academic atmosphere conducive to professional growth.
