The West Virginia University Eye Institute, Department of Ophthalmology, announces an outstanding opportunity for a fellowship-trained Oculoplastics Specialist. Join a dynamic ophthalmic team in an expanding practice.
Applicants must have graduated from an accredited residency program, completed an Oculoplastics fellowship, and be board certified/board eligible. Individuals must be committed to clinical care, education and research in an academic environment.
The WVU Eye Institute, a new state-of-the-art three-story facility, is adjacent to WVU Hospitals, Inc., a 530-bed facility. The department offers every subspecialty covered by full time faculty, and an active research program supported by NIH funding through R03, R01, and K23 mechanisms. Ophthalmology is also a part of the WVU Skull Base Team and works closely with Neurosurgery and Otolaryngology. Affiliation with the School of Medicine assures an outstanding array of advanced technologies, as well as a collaborative academic atmosphere conducive to professional growth. Approximately 38,000 patients are seen per year, with a referral base of two million. The department offers both residency and fellowship programs, including a fellowship in Oculoplastics.
