West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics invites applications for the position of Chief, Division of Adolescent Medicine. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in clinical medicine, as well as an established record of academic accomplishments. Applicants must be board certified in Pediatric Adolescent Medicine with at least 5 years of post-fellowship experience.
While providing administrative leadership, the new Chief will develop, implement and supervise the overall strategy for the clinical and academic activities of the division. This section is unique in its ability to offer clinical care and training directed toward rurally underserved youth through its relationships with a statewide rural health education network and a nationally recognized program screening youth for hyperlipidemia, (CARDIAC). Additional research opportunities exist with WVU Centers of Excellence in prevention and disabilities. The WVU Adolescent Section has an accredited fellowship-training program, which offers trainees the opportunity to pursue a Masters Degree in collaboration with the Department of Community Medicine.
