Pediatric Adolescent Medicine |
West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics is seeking faculty physicians for the section of Pediatric Adolescent Medicine. Responsibilities include teaching of residents and medical students and patient care. Opportunities are available for those interested in clinical/basic research. Applicants must be fellowship trained and board certified/eligible in Pediatric Adolescent Medicine.
This section is unique in its ability to offer clinical care and training directed toward rurally underserved youth through its relationships with a statewide rural health education network and a nationally recognized program screening youth for hyperlipidemia, (CARDIAC). Additional research opportunities exist with WVU Centers of Excellence in prevention and disabilities. The WVU Adolescent Section has an accredited fellowship-training program, which offers trainees the opportunity to pursue a Masters Degree in collaboration with the Department of Community Medicine.
