Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialist |
WVU School of Medicine invites applications for the position Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialist at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Pediatrics, board certified/ board eligible in pediatric infectious diseases.
The division of pediatric infectious diseases has a strong clinical commitment to medical student and resident education, clinical service in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and participation in clinical research. Opportunities include involvement in tropical medicine, cystic fibrosis, and clinical research clinical trials. WVU also has active programs for basic and clinical research on pediatric respiratory viral infections funded by federal and industry-based grants. In addition, unique opportunities for research collaborations derive from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), which is part of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and located on the WVU campus in close proximity to WVU Children’s Hospital.
The Department of Pediatrics at WVU School of Medicine and the WVU Children’s Hospital form a large community of professionals dedicated to providing the finest possible pediatric patient care, education and research.
