Responsibilities include teaching of residents and medical students and patient care. Opportunities are available for those interested in clinical/basic research. .

WVU Hospitals, Inc., a 530-bed facility, includes a Level 1 Trauma Center and Children's Hospital in addition to numerous other patient care units. The WVU Children’s Hospital provides infant and pediatric care for the state of West Virginia and the surrounding region with nationally recognized programs for the medical and surgical management of congenital heart disease and pediatric neurosurgery.
