Research
The School of Medicine is actively involved in basic science and clinical research. There are several research centers that focus on areas of importance to the state and nation including:
Research and Graduate Education - The School of Medicine offers graduate degree programs in several disciplines. The Office of Research and Graduate Education administers the School of Medicine Basic Sciences PhD program, the MD/PhD program, the PhD in Public Health and several internal grant competitions.
Online Version of the WVU Health Research CD - This
was developed to show you the exciting work that the scientists at West Virginia University are conducting in the areas of heart, lung, cancer, the immune system, the brain and in developing new ways to prevent and detect disease and care for patients.
