affiliated with the American College of Physicians

The Internal Medicine Interest Group was revived in the summer of 2007.

Why Internal Medicine?

-Internal Medicine is the most encompassing field in medicine
-Knowledge of Internal Medicine inter-relates to all other medical specialties
-Internal Medicine is exciting, popular, and rewarding
-Internal Medicine offers primary care and several subspecialty opportunities
.

Our Goals

Our main objective in the Internal Medicine Interest Group is to serve students who are interested in a career in Internal Medicine. We will meet on a monthly basis in order to expand our knowledge of Internal Medicine. Our meetings will involve physicians talking about their work in Internal Medicine and various sub-specialties. Also, patients will be brought to meetings to show students how Internal Medicine is practiced. Furthermore, mentoring opportunities will be available where students can receive career guidance from physicians on a regular basis.
