Student Interest Group in Neurology (SIGN)
Background and Purpose
Revived at WVU during the summer of 2005, SIGN functions as a network of over 130 chapters in medical schools throughout the United States and Canada. Our membership in SIGN is aimed at:
- Fostering greater student interest in the field of Neurology
- Promoting greater student awareness of opportunities in the field of Neurology
- Providing students with opportunities to participate in activities related to the field of Neurology, including: discussions by Neurologists, patient presentations, and arranged shadowing of Neurologists in the workplace
- Given the youth of our organization, we look forward to receiving any ideas or suggestions that all of our new members may be willing to contribute.
(For a free application to Medical Student Membership in the American Academy of Neurology, please see your SIGN officers at the beginning of the school year.)
