James P. Griffith, MD Associate Dean
He completed the combined residency in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry at the Charleston Division of the WVU School of Medicine and Charleston Area Medical Center in 1990. He joined the faculty that same year, and currently hold the academic rank of Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and Psychiatry. Dr. Griffith is also the Medical Director of Psychiatric Service for CAMC, Director of the Internal Medicine/Psychiatry Residency Program for the Charleston Division, and was appointed Assistant Dean for Student Services of the Charleston Division in 1999. Dr. Griffith lives in Charleston with his wife, Marla, and three children, Nick, Matt and Becky. He enjoys running, basketball, and fishing. You can contact Dr. Griffith by calling, (304) 347-1210. Dr. Griffith is a native of Charleston, West Virginia. He attended the College of Arts and Sciences at West Virginia University prior to entering the WVU School of Medicine after only three years of study. He graduated from the School of Medicine in 1985 when he was also elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
