Student Services Coordinator

Jane W. Horst, BS, Director of Student Services, comes to the office of Student Services in 2003 having served as the Site Coordinator for the Rural Health Education Partnerships in the Eastern Panhandle. In that capacity, Jane coordinated rural rotations, student housing and worked with clinical coordinators from all three medical schools in West Virginia and other allied health professions schools in and out of state. She has coordinated rotations with many of the teaching doctors, nurses, dentists and physical therapists in the Eastern Panhandle.

The Office of Student Services will handle the administrative records, and support services needed by Eastern Division students.Jane will also serve as the Field Site Coordinator for the HSTA (Health Science and Technology Academy) in the Eastern Panhandle and will work with Shepherd College to coordinate the newly initiated ‘MedSTEP’ program.

Jane received her BS degree from the University of Maryland in College Park. She has lived in the Martinsburg area for 10 years with her husband Rod, daughter, Stephanie and son, Jeffrey. She enjoys reading, photography, and writing fiction.
