October 17, 2005 - Thanks to the efforts of WVU medical student, Fareeha Ashraf, CIRCA TERRA, was able to donate desperately needed medical supplies to the victims of the recent earthquake that hit South Asia. It has claimed over 35,000 lives and injured more than 40,000 people. Fareeha was able to donate through a charity organization in Cleveland, Ohio, called Med Help. Med Help is currently collecting medical supplies and sending them to Pakistan. If you would like more information on Med Help, their website is www.medhelp-int.org
October 6, 2005 - Circa Terra needs volunteers to help with packing and sorting of surplus medical supplies to send to Global Links in Pittsburgh. The pack-and-sort will be Monday, October 10, 1:30 - 5:00 pm, John Jones Room A. (Although we've reserved the room until 5, the pack-and-sort should end around 4PM.) This is an excellent opportunity to earn community service hours. Volunteers do not need to attend the entire pack-and-sort. Please feel free to donate any amount of time that you can spare. See you Monday! RSVP: zzinn@mix.wvu.edu Snacks and drinks will be provided.

September 10, 2005 - The first meeting for Circa Terra will be on September 20th, 2005 in room 2094 at noon. The agenda for the meeting will be to have general introduction of what Circa Terra and Global Links are. We will also talk about how you can be involved in the organization, including an officer from the MS1 class. Lunch will be provided, so please RSVP to Sammy Mashat at smashat@mix.wvu.edu by September 13th at noon.

Are you going to Pittsburgh? Want to get some community service hours? Circa Terra is in constant need of volunteers to drive supplies to the Global Links headquarters in Pittsburgh. You will recieve community service hours for the drive as well as packing/unpacking the car. If you can help, please contact Vicki Kalira at vkalira@mix.wvu.edu
