FAMILY HAPPENINGS:
JOIN US IN WELCOMING THE CLASS OF 2006! as they return from Jackson's Mill and complete their first year Orientation here at the Health Sciences Center this week. They sign the Oath of Integrity at the ceremony on Wednesday.
Community Service Log: Please remember that the old online system for logging community service hours has been disabled. Please go to the student services SOLE site. If you can not access the site, please contact Dr. Ferrari by email (nferrari@hsc.wvu.edu). The new community service database is SOLE linked and you should begin entering your service hours there from this time forward.
EVENTS:
TUITION AND FEES: To avoid the late fee of $40, payment for Fall term needs to be made on or by Friday, August 16th.
THIRD AND FOURTH YEAR INVITATION: The Morgantown Campus Department of Family Medicine Faculty and Residents invite all third and fourth year students and their guests to a picnic at Chestnut Ridge Park on Thursday, September 5, 2002 at 5:00 p.m. Food will be catered by Texas Roadhouse. Playground facilities are located on the premises. An invitation has been put in mailboxes with an attachment to mail your RSVP or you may e-mail your RSVP to fammedresidency@rcbhsc.wvu.edu. Either way RSVP by Friday, August 30.
AOA ELECTIONS (AOA members only): August 28, 2002. The election will be to select the remaining members for the class of 2003.
FOOTBALL TENTS: Oct. 5 and 26 at the POC Portico. All medical students, with one guest, invited. Mark you calenders.

PEER ADVISORS FOR MSI ORIENTATION: Meet Carol and Pam in the Student Lounge on Fri., Aug. 16, at 10:30 a.m. for details and information. Lunch with your advisee will be at 11:30 a.m.
FALL COMPUTER LEASE FEE PAYMENT will begin on Monday, August 19 - $840.00. Checks made payable to UHA. Visa, Discover, Mastercard also accepted. Deadline for payment is Friday, September 13th.

CAMC BLOOD DRIVE: Friday, August 16 from 10 AM to 4PM in conference rooms A&B General Hospital. Call 345-9051 to schedule an appointment to donate.
RESEARCH LUNCH AND LEARN: The next Research Lunch and Learn will be held August 21 from noon - 1 p.m. and is entitled, "The Future of Intravascular Stenting: Findings from CAMC and Others," by Mark Bates, M.D. It may be viewed in Rooms 101 and 102 at General Hospital, the Board Room at Women and Children's Hospital and in Room 2000 of the WVU Building next door to Memorial Hospital. Please RSVP to 388-9960 to be included in the lunch count.
TUITION AND FEES: To avoid the late fee of $40, payment for Fall term needs to be made on or by Friday, August 16th. Tammy is in the office from 7:30am until 4:00 pm that day as normal. If you need to make a payment but can't get to the office, call Tammy at 347-1210 to make alternate arrangements.
FINANCIAL AID: Financial Aid disbursements should occur during the week of August 19 - 23. Student refund checks for aid remaining after tuition and fees payment should be mailed during the same week.
