CONGRATULATIONS: Amy Rebecca Aitcheson, Class of 2003, is pleased to announce her engagement to Gregory J. Cooley of Gordonsville, VA. They are planning a summer or fall wedding in Amy's home town of Charles Town, WV.
NOTICES:
OFFICE OF STUDENT SERVICES SCHEDULE: On Thursday the Morgantown office will be closed from 11:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m. and the Charleston office closed from noon - 1:30 p.m. for the respective campus Match Luncheon. Thank you for your cooperation with us this week.
LISTSERV ACCESS: All class ListServs will be changed to include input only from those with MIX accounts. This preserves the integrity of communication within the classes.
NOTICE TO ALL STUDENTS:
HIPPA Training Online: Please see HIPPA CBL.doc attachment. This is MANDATORY for all MD and MD/Ph.D. students. Training/testing must be completed by April 10. All students who do not comply will relinquish their contact with patients and their research.
SCHOLARSHIPS: Students are strongly encouraged to apply for the Ernest Daniel Conaway, Raymond Guy Baker and Everett Reece Baker Memorial Scholarship Fund. This scholarship provides funding for the year's tuition and fees to benefit a financially needy medical school (M.D. degree) student and a financially needy engineering student. Students must be West Virginia residents attending West Virginia University. Academic excellence is not a requirement. However, the recipient must have at least an average grade point of 2.0+ and would be satisfactorily progressing towards graduation in the engineering or the medical school discipline. MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS WALK: Saturday, April 26, Charleston. In need of volunteers for registration, relief stations, and as crossing guards for 5 mile walk. Begin at 8:00am at the Columbia Gas Building on MacCorkle and winds through Kanawha City. May leave around noon with a one hour training a few days prior.
