NOTICES:
FOUND - BASEBALL TICKETS: Found In the "Pit" parking lot. Two tickets for the professional baseball game this coming Monday. Contact Student Services Morgantown if you lost them. Have some way to prove they are yours.
HIPAA TRAINING: Can be accessed on your SOLE account. Must be completed by April 10. If not completed by the timberline you will no longer have access to medical training involving patient contact. This includes MD and MD/Ph.D. students on all campuses.

What's Happening this Week - Morgantown:
Friday'S GRAND ROUNDS TO FEATURE DISCUSSION ON INSOMNIA: "Non-Pharmacologic Treatment of Insomnia" will be presented by Ghassan Kanj, MD, FCCP, at noon Friday, March 28, at the John Jones Conference Center - Rooms 1, 2, 3 Health Sciences. WVU faculty, staff, students and other interested persons are welcome to attend this Integrated Medicine event. Following the conference series, participants will be able to: identify non-pharmacologic remedies for insomnia; recognize risks for sleep disturbances; and recognize proven and unproven approaches to insomnia.

ROCKY SLEYSTER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: We have application for a $2500 scholarship for those a rising fourth year student based on demonstrated interest in psychiatry, scholarship, and financial need. Please see Carol Kurcaba.

MS 2/Class of 2005:
WHITE COAT CEREMONY: Fri., Apr. 25, 2003, 6:00 p.m. HSC Auditorium. For those students who haven't already done so, you must stop by the Alumni Office and pick up your packet of invitations for the White Coat Ceremony by April 7. You are responsible for disbursing these invitations as you see fit. If you DO NOT need all four seats in the HS Auditorium, please leave the extra seats with Gina in the Alumni Office and she will distribute extras to those needing more seats. IMPORTANT: When guests arrive at the Ceremony they must present their invitation to be seated in either Auditorium. MORGANTOWN INTERNAL ROTATION THIRD YEAR SCHEDULE swap deadline is Friday, April 4.
MS 1/Class of 2006:
SUMMER RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES IN MORGANTOWN: Each summer first-year M.D. students have the opportunity to conduct hypothesis-driven investigations in their fields of interest. Students conduct 6 to 10 weeks of research with faculty mentors at a salary of $200 per week. They also present their findings the following spring at the Research Day poster session. If you have a research project in mind, please contact the appropriate faculty member to establish research goals and project plans. Then ask the faculty member to contact Barbara Allen, ballen@hsc.wvu.edu, for further instructions on completing the submission. We would like the students to have a mentor and be able to start their research during the summer break. Payroll paperwork needs to be completed 3 weeks prior to the start of the appointment.

CHARLESTON MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS WALK: Saturday, April 26. Volunteers needed for registration, relief stations, and as crossing guards for 5 mile walk. Begin at 8:00am at the Columbia Gas Building on MacCorkle Avenue and winds through Kanawha City. May leave around noon. One hour training a few days prior.
