Message of the Week #187 NOTICES: COMMENCEMENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Last year, thanks to the help of volunteers from the University community, we were able to staff this very large event. We are asking for your help. We need approximately 30 volunteers to primarily serve as ushers/greeters . These volunteers will direct guests & students, answer questions, distribute programs, and assist with "special seating" areas. Commencement is Sunday, 5/18, at 1:30 p.m. in the Coliseum. Volunteers will need to report at 10:00 - 2:00 or 10:00-4:00 to the Blue Gate of the Coliseum. Food will be provided. If you can volunteer, or know of someone who can, please contact Eloise Tomei at Eloise.Tomei@mail.wvu.edu or 293-8021 ASAP. Indicate which shift is preferable. If there is a preference regarding gate or area, note that too. More details to follow from Ms. Tomei. VOLUNTEERS FOR INVESTITURE: Student Services would like some student volunteers to help with the clean up/set up of chairs in the rec center following the investiture ceremony. Community Service Opportunities: WVU KID'S FAIR WORKERS: The Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center needs 2 more med students to help man the Cancer Center exhibit at the WVU Kid's Fair at the Morgantown Mall on Saturday, April 5. MOCK TRIAL: A number of students at the Law School are involved in the Lugar Invitational Mock Trial Competition, which starts next Monday. The law students would like to talk to someone with a medical background to help them assess this case. If you are interested you could even serve as a witness during the trial. In exchange, they will share information about the legal system with you.
