VOLUNTEERS FOR INVESTITURE: Student Services would like some student volunteers to help with the clean up/set up of chairs in the rec center following the investiture ceremony. This will be on Sat., May 17. If you are interested please contact Carol Kurcaba in Student Services at 293-4961 or email at ckurcaba@hsc.wvu.edu.
USMLE Score Change: The Step 2 Committee decided to raise the three-digit score recommended to pass Step 2 from 174 to 182. The new minimum passing score will be applied to Step 2 examinations for which the first day of testing is on or after 5/1/2003.

Those students who are recipients of an award will be notified that you will be receiving an award. Please let us know if you will be attending or not if you receive notification. What's Happening this Week - Morgantown:
FRIDAY HIKE AND BIKE AT THE ROCK: Cooper's Rock State Forest.Friday, May 9, 2003, 3:30 PM to whenever. Medical students, faculty, staff, administration, and , significant others are encouraged to take a few hours to shave camaraderie by biking and hiking at Cooper's Rock. We will meet at the first parking lot near the entrance to Cooper's Rock State Forest. Beginners, intermediates, and advanced are welcome. Contact Dr. Bill Reger by phone (293-0763) or by e-mail (wreger@hsc.wvu.edu), if you have questions.

INVESTITURE: Saturday, May 17, WVU Rec Center,. Students arrive at 7:00 p.m.; ceremony begins at 8:00 p.m.
COMMENCEMENT: Sunday, May 18, WVU Coliseum. Students must arrive by 12:30 p.m., ceremony begins at 1:30 p.m
MS4 STUDENT LOAN BORROWERS: The Direct Loan Consolidation Center was contacted today and they indicated that even if you only had direct loans, they would be willing to sell your loans to another loan consolidation. Also, to receive the in school interest rate (3.46%) you need to consolidate prior to the official last day of University classes which is May 10th. By consolidating while you are in school you can still retain your grace period. If you wait to consolidate after May 10th, you would lose your grace period and the interest rate would be the repayment interest rate (4.06%).
MS 3/Class of 2004:
MS4 ORIENTATION: Required Attendance - Thursday, May 29, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Hostler Auditorium.
SUMMER 1 invoices will be mailed May 8. Payment is due by Tuesday, May 20.
MS 2/Class of 2005:
WHITE COAT CEREMONY VIDEOS AND PHOTOS - MESSAGE FROM ALUMNI ASSOCIATION: If you or your family did NOT get to place an order for the video or group photo or you need extras, you can place your order this week.
