STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS participating in the Organization Fair on Friday, August 15, 8:30-11:30 am will receive schedule/instructions in an email tomorrow.

FALL TUITION PAYMENT LAST CALL before deadline. Tuition charges have posted to your MIX account. CAREFULLY review your account/registration status/ financial aid/mailing address. Financial Aid disbursement is expected August 15. Tuition payment deadline is August 15. Contact your Student Services Offices with registration questions.

If you are still in need of a parking pass for the PIT because you did not renew online in May, you must now go to the Parking Office at the Prete Building. 7:30-4:30 Monday-Friday. Required - 700#, copy of car registration, checks, Visa, MC, mountybounty, money order accepted. Returning MD student in need of new PIT access - stop in Student Services for your required approval card.

DEDICATION OF BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH FACILITY AND LEARNING CENTER
Senator Robert C. Byrd will formally dedicate our new biomedical research facility and the HSC Learning Center at 2 p.m. in the new biomedical building on the northeast side of the Health Sciences Center. Space is limited; if there is too large a crowd, you can watch the ceremony via video link in Room 1901 in the HSC Learning Center. GTR 3 - THE INTERVIEW: is set on the Morgantown Campus for Tuesday, September 2, 3-6 pm, and Mon, Oct 13, 2:00 - 5:00 pm. Information will be presented on interviewing skills, and mock interviews will be setup with faculty in areas similar to your chosen field. Students from all Campus' are invited to participate. An October date on the Charleston Campus will soon be posted. If you are interested in attending one of the Morgantown sessions, please RSVP via this email and specify the date as well as your desired residency program. One week prior to the program you will be required to submit to our office a CV and Personal Statement.

Annual Student/ Resident Picnic - The picnic is planned for Thursday, August 21, 2008 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Maier Village. Great food and good music are planned for the event.

MS 4/Class of 2009:
REMEMBER: Check your e-mail frequently and make sure you have updated your demographic page.

NEW VERSION OF USMLE TEST DELIVERY SOFTWARE: A new version of the software used to deliver USMLE Step examinations is scheduled to be introduced in mid-August 2008. This affects students who will be taking Step 2 CK. For further details go to www.usmle.org/general_information/announcements.html. Today all applicants scheduled to sit for Step 2CK with eligibility periods in August and September 2008 will be sent an e-mail notification with a link to orientation and practice materials for both the old and new versions of the software. E-mail notifications will be sent weekly thereafter to new registrants

MS 3/Class of 2010:
BLOCK 1 SHELF EXAM:: PSYCH will be administered Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 9:00 AM in room 3294 - WVU Building. On Friday, August 22, 2008 at 9:00 AM the following exams will be given on the 4th floor of the WVU BUILDING: Neuro, Surgery, Medicine, Peds, OB. (Remember Family Medicine is the only exam given separately by their own department) Good luck on your 1st shelf exam!

Meeting with the Dean. YOU MUST set up an appointment to meet with Dr. Griffith for your 'getting to know you meeting'. Please contact the Office of Student Services immediately or an appointment will be made for you.

MS3/Eastern Class of 2010
Tumor Board- Thursday- Aug. 14, 12:00noon- 8th floor classroom. Speaker: Hernando Jimenez, MD, Pathologist. “Locally Advanced Cervical Neoplasia”.

Dinner with the Dean- You and your guest are invited to have Dinner with Dr and Mrs. Jacques at their home in September. The sign-up sheets for one of three dates will be posted in the large classroom. The dates for the dinners are Sun. Sept. 14, Tues. Sept 16th and Sunday, Sept. 21st. There is a limit of 8 people per evening.

The Family/Spouse orientation program will be held on Friday, Sept. 5th beginning at 11:45am here at the RCB building. Tell your family to look for the invitation in the mail.
