LAST CALL FOR September 2nd GETTING TO RESIDENCY: Tuesday, September 2, 3-6 pm, Morgantown Campus. RSVP via this email no later than Friday, August 22nd. Specify this date as well as your desired residency program. Submit your CV and Personal Statement.
GTR 3 - THE INTERVIEW: is set on the Morgantown Campus Mon, Oct 13, 2:00 - 5:00 pm. Information will be presented on interviewing skills, and mock interviews will be set-up with faculty in areas similar to your chosen field. Students from all Campus' are invited to participate. An October date on the Charleston Campus will soon be posted. RSVP via this email, specify this date as well as your desired residency program. One week prior to the program you will be required to submit to our office a CV and Personal Statement.

To register for the 2009 Match, login to www.nrmp.org , click on the Register/Login button at the top of the screen. THIS PROCESS IS IN ADDITION TO YOUR ERAS. You must be in BOTH systems to successfully secure a residency position.

NEW VERSION OF USMLE TEST DELIVERY SOFTWARE: A new version of the software used to deliver USMLE Step examinations is scheduled to be introduced in mid-August 2008. This affects students who will be taking Step 2 CK. For further details go to www.usmle.org/general_information/announcements.html. Today all applicants scheduled to sit for Step 2CK with eligibility periods in August and September 2008 will be sent an e-mail notification with a link to orientation and practice materials for both the old and new versions of the software. E-mail notifications will be sent weekly thereafter to new registrants

BLOCK 1 SHELF EXAM: PSYCH will be administered Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 9:00 AM in room 3294 - WVU Building. On Friday, August 22, 2008 at 9:00 AM the following exams will be given on the 4th floor of the WVU BUILDING: Neuro, Surgery, Medicine, Peds, OB. (Remember Family Medicine is the only exam given separately by their own department) Good luck on your 1st shelf exam!

Health Sciences Scholarship Program (HSSP)
HSSP, established by the WV Legislature in 1995, provides a scholarship incentive for students in the state's higher education system to complete their training and provide primary care in underserved rural areas of West Virginia. If interested, packets are available in Student Services.

MS3/Eastern Class of 2010
Parking Notice for MSIII students- The small parking lot on the left side of the RCByrd building (facing it) is reserved for the Deans and staff members. Students are asked to park in the larger parking lot to the right of the entrance Monday through Friday. On weekends, students may park in the smaller lot nearest the Student Study Area. Thanks for your cooperation.
Sign up for Dinner with the Dean- You and your guest are invited to have Dinner with Dr and Mrs. Jacques at their home in September. The sign-up sheets for one of three dates will be posted in the large classroom. The dates for the dinners are Sun. Sept. 14, Thursday, Sept. 17th and Sunday, Sept. 21st. The date for Sept. 16th is no longer available and another date will be substituted. There is a limit of 8 people per evening.
The Family/Spouse orientation program will be held on Friday, Sept. 5th beginning at 11:45am here at the RCB building. We are looking forward to meeting your family members!
