The WV State ACP Meeting is occurring in Huntington, WV Oct. 9th and 10th. We are currently looking for any students interested in presenting original research and/or Case Presentations at the State Meeting. You must submit an abstract at the link below following the guidelines. Dr. Hanlon and Dr. Tarantino are available to help answer any questions you may have. The deadline for submission is AUG. 8th at MIDNIGHT. You must be an ACP member (which is free to students...so go sign up). Your membership also gives you discounts on several resources.
We are also getting ready to restart the Internal Medicine Interest Group. We are planning a lunchtime session in August to assist the 4th years with their ERAS applications as well as make sure you are getting all of your Letters of Recommendation. We hope to have several interested (or curious) 3rd year students attend so that you know what you need to be keeping track of to make your ERAS (residency application) look great. More information will be forthcoming.
Please speak to one of the Medicine Faculty if you are interested in participating in the ACP meeting but aren't sure that you have an interesting case. Students have won several categories over the last few years and we hope that this continues.
