NOTICES:

IMPORTANT COMPUTER REMINDER TO ALL STUDENTS: AVOID FILE SHARE SOFTWARE ON YOUR LAPTOP

Read carefully the email sent to all students last week with details on this matter.

MORGANTOWN STUDENT SERVICES OFFICE WILL CLOSE at 4:30 pm Thursday, October 1, in preparation for the Tailgate at the POC.

HSC HOURS AND PARKING THURSDAY - FOOTBALL GAME DAY: The HSC Library/Learning Center will be open from 7:30 AM until 5:00 PM; S tudent Health Services will be open for business until 3:00 PM; Individual instructors should use their own discretion in regard to class schedules.

PARKING - all Health Sciences Center Parking lots will remain open to faculty, staff and students until 5:00 pm.  Everyone is encouraged to begin exiting for the day between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm.  All vehicles must be out of Areas 80, 82, 84 and 81 by 5:00 pm.  After 5:00 pm towing by Athletics will be enforced.

MORGANTOWN SEASONAL FLU SHOT CLINIC - Recreation Center  10/6 3:00PM-7:00PM.

AMSA upcoming events:

October 5th: AMSA Medical Equipment Sale from 12 PM to 4 PM- Location to be announced

November 10th: AMSA "What the Heck Does that Mean?" Lunch lecture with Dr. John Guilfoose 12 noon in Room 1901.

AMWA invites members and fellow students to our "Careers in Medicine" female physician panel on Thursday 10/1 at 12pm in room 1909. Lunch RSVPs to wvuamwa@gmail.com was due Monday 9/28.

INTERNAL MEDICINE INTEREST GROUP: The next Internal Medicine Interest Group meeting will be October 8th at NOON in room 1905 with lunch provided. Dr. Abraham will be coming to speak about oncology and his approach to the career. Dr. Abraham is a well respected figure in Oncology nation-wide and this will be a great talk to hear! Please RSVP to wvu.imig@gmail.com  no later than October 6th.

Flu Shots- Are available to students at HFFM.

Eastern Campus Journal Club- Monday, October 5 starting at 6:30-8:00 PM. at the home of Dr. & Mrs. Jacques, 466 Braeburn Drive, Martinsburg. An informal dinner will be served. Attendance is not mandatory, but you are welcome to attend. We will be discussing the H1N1 influenza which is now starting to appear in this area. The articles will be forwarded as students RSVP to the Student Services Area.

A Mid-Term Exam will be held Friday for OB/Gyn. It will begin at 8:00am. The exam is written.

Volunteers needed to help stuff packets for Runners- Freedom’s Run Event. Thursday, Oct. 1, in the Eastern Division Library, 4:00-6:00pm-

Counts towards community service hours.

Freedoms Run-Sat. Oct 3 rd 5:30amam-2:00pm- Freedom’s Run Event, Meeting in Shepherdstown. Need volunteers as course marshals and at refreshment stations.
