After Surgery

You will remain in the hospital for approximately 1-3 days after your surgery. Appointments with your surgeon and dietitian will be scheduled about 2 weeks after discharge. Routine follow-up schedule after bariatric surgery includes office visits at 2 weeks, 2 months, 6 months, 1 year then annual after the surgery. These visits are essential to be sure that you are not having nutritional problems and to monitor your progress. Blood samples will be obtained to evaluate your nutritional status.
