      High school students seeking admission directly into the Nursing major, click the application below. Applications are also available by calling Admissions & Records at 1-800-677-9881.

      Application for Undergraduate Admission

    • College Students

      Pre-nursing students: A completed application and transcripts* must be received by January 15 of the year the candidate wishes to be admitted. This application can be obtained after December 1st from the Health Sciences Center Office of Admissions & Records via mail by calling (304) 293-3521, stop by in person at 1170 WVU Health Sciences Center North.

      *Transcripts must be submitted with your application only if you have not attended WVU within the past four years, even if they show only in progress courses. Final transcripts with all pertinent grades and degree, if applicable, must be received before attending classes.

    The BS/BA to BSN Application for Health Sciences Admission will not be available again until June 01, 2012. Please make a note and return for your application.

    To be considered for admission, applicant must:

    1. Complete the HSC Application for Admission to the School of Nursing, available from the HSC Office of Admissions & Records in Morgantown (see application link below or call (304) 293-3521).

      Once completed, return with the nonrefundable application fee to the address on the form.

    2. Request official transcripts from each college or university attended. Transcripts must be sent directly from the institution to the WVU HSC Office of Admissions & Records in Morgantown.

    3. The application and all supporting materials must be received by the deadline date.

    To be considered for admission, the applicant must complete the following:

    1. For the Charleston and Morgantown campuses, complete the Health Sciences Center (HSC) Application for Admission to the School of Nursing.

      Applications are available from the following contacts:

    2. Return your application with its nonrefundable fee to the address on the form.

    3. Request official transcripts from each college or university attended. Transcripts must be sent directly from the institution to the WVU HSC Office of Admission and Records.

    4. The application and all supporting materials must be received by the deadline date.

    Graduation

    Early in the semester of graduation, students must file for graduation and pay appropriate fees. The academic advisor will work with students to assure that all requirements for graduation have been met. Graduation can occur in December, May or August.

    The following criteria must be met for regular admission to graduate study in the WVU School of Nursing:

    1. Complete two application forms as indicated below and return to the appropriate offices by the deadline.

      1. Application for Admission to Graduate Studies (or available at Admissions & Records; (304) 293-3521). To be returned with a non-refundable service fee to: Office of Admissions, West Virginia University, P.O. Box 9815, Morgantown, WV 26506-9815.

      2. Application for Admission to Graduate Study in the School of Nursing (available from Student Services Office in the School of Nursing or School of Nursing Charleston Division offices). WVU School of Nursing, Student Services Office, P.O. Box 9600, Morgantown, WV 26506-9600.

    2. Request an official transcript of records from each college or university attended. Transcripts and records should be sent directly from the institution to: WVU Office of Admissions, P.O. Box 9815, Morgantown, WV 26506.

    3. Send three letters of recommendation directly to the WVU School of Nursing, Student Services Office, P.O. Box 9600, Morgantown, WV 26506.

    4. Submit GRE scores, if required.

    The beginning sequence of courses in the MSN program starts in the fall semester only. Class size may be limited based on available faculty resources and space. Applicants for graduate study need to complete the following steps in order to be considered for admission:

    The following criteria must be met for regular admission to graduate study in the WVU School of Nursing:

    1. Complete two application forms as indicated below and return to the appropriate offices by the deadline.

      1. Application for Admission to Graduate Studies

      2. Supplemental Application for Admission to MSN and Post MSN Certificate Study in the School of Nursing. Students should complete and submit this form to: WVU School of Nursing, ATTN: Brandy Toothman, P.O. Box 9640, Morgantown, WV 26506-9640.

    2. Request an official transcript of records from each college or university attended. Transcripts and records should be sent directly to: WVU Office of Admissions, P.O. Box 9815, Morgantown, WV 26506.

    3. Submit three letters of reference through the online application listed above.

    4. Submit GRE or MAT scores.

    5. Submit a current resume.

    The parameters used for review of applicants include: academic achievement, GRE scores, career goals, and recommendations.
