WVU School of Nursing Commencement Information

The School of Nursing's Commencement Ceremony for Graduating Class of 2012 will take place Saturday, May 12, 2012 at one-o'clock in the afternoon at the Morgantown Event Center, Morgantown, West Virginia. Guests are asked that they not arrive to the event center before 12:15 p.m. for traffic flow and parking availability purposes. The venue is handicap accessible. Please contact the WVU Office of Disability Services at 304-293-6700 to make any disability-related accommodations for the commencement ceremony.

A reception will be held prior to the ceremony at the Touchdown Terrace in the football stadium.

All students, please complete the online RSVP form at: http://www.hsc.wvu.edu/son/currentstudents_commencementrsvp.aspx by April 20, 2012.

A mandatory rehearsal for faculty and students will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 11th at the Morgantown Event Center. The rehearsal will last approximately 1 hour.

Graduate Students

MSN Students must submit the Application for Graduation and Diploma by February 13, 2012

PhD and DNP students must apply for graduation through their MIX account. The instructions are below:
   1. Log into your MIX account: http://www.mix.wvu.edu
   2. Click on the STAR tab
   3. Click on the link "Click here to enter STAR"
   4. Click on the "Student Services and Housing" link
   5. Click on "Student Records"
   6. Click on "Apply to graduate"

Doctoral students must also submit their dissertation through the WVU Libraries website by April 27, 2012 at 4:00 PM:

Faculty

Faculty must wear academic regalia. If you do not own your regalia, you may rent caps, gowns and tassels at the HSC or Main bookstores. Please contact Chuck Bowers at sm586@bncollege.com or call 304-293-4849.
