This is a great time to catch up with fellow students and faculty as the new academic year begins. Faculty are asked to bring a dessert.

 COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS:

All BSN and MSN students are required to complete community service hours. Consult your student handbook for the number of hours required for your particular program. RN to BSN and RN to MSN students can access the community service hours report form at http://www.hsc.wvu.edu/son/AcademicNew/RN-BSN/RN_BSN_CommServ+form.htm. The report form for MSN students is available in the MSN student handbook. Completed report forms should be turned in to Student Services. You no longer need to get approval from your faculty advisor – Student Services will approve all community service hours.

SN and BS/BA to BSN students should now report their community service hours in SOLE. Hours will then be approved by the Office of Student Services, and students will be able to see the number of hours that have been completed and approved. Follow these instructions for reporting hours in SOLE:

Click the Group Resources Tab.

Then under Other Applications click the Community Service link.

To add a community service event please click on the Add Event link.
