CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL GRADUATES!!!
GRADUATION CEREMONY:
All graduates and faculty participating in the School of Nursing convocation on Saturday, May 14, are asked to begin lining up in cap and gown outside the Green Room at the Creative Arts Center at 3:40 pm.

SCHOOL OF NURSING PINS:
School of Nursing pins have arrived in the HSC Bookstore. Seniors who ordered pins should pick them up at the Bookstore as soon as possible.

GRADUATION PICTURES:
The School of Nursing will give you one 5x7 of your picture taken with Dean Martin at the May 14 School of Nursing graduation ceremony. WVU Department of Photo Illustrations will also email you following graduation with an online address you can use to see your picture with price list and you can order more pictures if you wish.

COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES:
Student volunteers are welcome at a summer camp for kids with diabetes, Camp KnoKoma. The camp is a great opportunity to work with children with diabetes, learn more about insulin and pump use, and have a great time while doing it all! Dates of the camp are July 9-16 in Charleston. Information about signing up to be a counselor can be accessed at http://www.campknokoma.com/counselor.htm . You should note on the application that it is for a nursing student position. Preparations are well under way for the 2005 Special Olympics West Virginia Summer Games June 3-5 at WVU, and organizers are once again looking to the community for help in making sure the success of the games continues. "We are now seeking about 1,500 volunteers from the local area to help run the Summer Games," said Nancy Moore, volunteer co-coordinator. "Each year, the event increases in excitement as more and more special athletes compete in these games. This is a wonderful opportunity for residents, WVU employees and students to get involved in a worthwhile and rewarding community event.” To help with the games, volunteers must complete an application form available at

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES:
Summer aides are needed to help care for 2 autistic girls, ages 8 and 11, in their Ridgedale home. Hours are flexible and duties include daily outings, interactive play and general care. Trustworthy and kind live-in help needed for man in his Morgantown home. He has congestive heart failure, and a history of stroke which slightly affects speech. Described by son as mobile, funny and kind, and not incontinent. Duties include sodium free food preparation, light housework and laundry, assisting with daily routines, sorting medications, and grocery shopping. Room, board, and stipend provided. Camp Nurse opportunity near Morgantown. Over night camp near Cheat Lake is hiring full and part time RNs, GNs, and BSN student health aides for their health clinic. Salaries are competitive. The shifts are flexible and the director will work with summer class schedules. The health clinic staff is not required to stay overnight. Great working and learning environment!
