MOUNTAINEER BLUE AND GOLD COUCH CANDLES AVAILABLE!
SNA will have a limited number of these really cute “burning couch” candles candlesavailable at the Bake Sale and will also be taking orders for them when they sell out!   These unique candles are the perfect gift for the Mountaineer fan in your life!

There will also be an assortment of jelly jar sized candles for sale – these make great teacher gifts. They are made by Country Elegance and smell heavenly!

WHAT A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO SUPPORT SNA AND SHOP AT KROGER AT THE SAME TIME!

SNA has teamed up with the Kroger Cares Program. With this program SNA has potential to raise a significant amount of money - which they desperately need!

SNA is pre-selling Kroger gift cards.  The numbers on the gift cards will be linked to the SNA, therefore they can only be purchased through our organization. A card can be purchased for any amount from $5 to $500 and can be used indefinitely.

There is no extra cost associated with the use of these gift cards. A $25 gift card is redeemable for $25 in merchandise and can be used to purchase virtually anything at Kroger (with the exception of money orders and Western Union transactions).

Just use your card and then recharge or “reload” the value of  your card at any Kroger store by simply stopping by the service desk or telling a cashier. For every card sold and for every time value is added to the card SNA receives 5%!!

Click here for your printable form - complete & return it along with your check made out to " WVU SNA" to Betty in Health Restoration, to any SNA officer or you can leave it at the SNA workspace in HR. by December 5!    The cards will be back in just a couple of days – right in time for holiday shopping and gift-giving! Your check must accompany the order form – these cards have to be pre-paid and this special card is only available through SNA.

These cards can be used at any Kroger store and they can be used to purchase fuel!  What a great stocking stuffer for your favorite driver, young or older!  Let’s go Krogering with SNA!!

SALVATION ARMY ANGEL TREE – HEALTH RESTORATION
Stop by and pick an angel from the SNA sponsored tree to sponsor a needy child this holiday season.  Every child deserves to share in the joy and spirit of the Christmas season.

HUMANE SOCIETY PET FOOD DRIVE
There is a barrel in the front of Health Restoration to collect canned or bagged dog and cat food for our needy pets for the holidays.  Let’s see how many times we can fill up the barrel and make sure our four-legged friends have enough food to eat this holiday season and beyond.  Deadline is December 9 for pet food to be brought to the barrel in HR!

25TH ANNUAL TOY DRIVE IS UNDERWAY!!
The decorated toy barrel is located in the front of Health Restoration.   The drive is sponsored by Christian Help, a non-denominational, non-profit organization committed to serving the needs of the poor in this area.  All children deserve to share in the joy and excitement that the holidays bring.  Please participate by donating a toy or money to the drive.  Maybe when you go home for Thanksgiving, you might have time to shop for a gift.  Teenagers are the most underserved group – sweaters, nice sweatshirts, games, books, wallets, watches, make-up kits, cologne sets – think of an item you would like and share that with a child who might not otherwise get something nice.   There is also a great opportunity to get volunteer/community service hours with this project.  Please email bjurick@hsc.wvu.edu for information on how you can get involved in this worthwhile project.

During the week of Dec. 4-8, anyone with an unpaid citation can have one $10 parking ticket or two $5 parking tickets (except violations for handicap parking) excused in exchange for three canned goods weighing 10 ounces or more or three bags of dry goods. A big THANK YOU from RDVIC
They were so pleased with the response they received from the School of Nursing during that wonderful Pay It Forward event that they would like to work with us even more.  They have invited the faculty, staff and students to volunteer some hours at the Morgantown Mall, manning their gift wrapping fund raising booth in 2 hour increments – this could be lots of fun and certainly worthwhile.  Please call Jeanette or Brenda, 292-5100 to sign up and see what hours are available.

KEEP BRINGING YOUR USED PC CARTRIDGES TO HEALTH RESTORATION
We continue to raise funds for the Humane Society - $4 for every used cartridge – save the dogs and cats and the landfill as well!  We just turned in 115 cartridges!  That’s $460!  We have donated over $1000 so far with this project – thanks to you bringing your cartridges in.  The animals need you!  This is a year round project!

THE MOUNTAINEERS TAKE ON BIG EAST LEADER RUTGERS THIS SATURDAY TO END THE REGULAR SEASON!  BRING ON THE BOWL!

OUR MEN’S BASKETBALL TEAM IS NOW 5-1 AND RETURNS TO THE COLISEUM FOR A HOME GAME ON DECEMBER 16 AGAINST SAVANNAH STATE.
