ONCE AGAIN, THE SON ROCKS & WALKS! TOP TEAM IN THE AHA WALK!

Congratulations to the hearty souls who braved the chilly weather to walk for a great cause on Saturday. Many thanks to everyone who donated and contributed to our success, including Lya Stroupe and Chain Wen-Wang who coordinated the yummy and very successful Bake Sale and all who baked for it. The silent auction raised $265 - many thanks to those who bid and congratulations to those who won.

Special recognition goes to Roger Carpenter who once again spearheaded our successful effort. He coordinated the walkers, created the motivational bulletin board and kept us headed in the right direction. He was also recognized as one of the top fund raisers thanks to many last minute donations. His efforts resulted in the School of Nursing raising in excess of $1600 for the American Heart Association. Well done!

A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL WHO WORKED THE HEALTH EXPO FRIDAY!
We did at least 450 blood pressure screenings, gave flu shots for 10 hours or so, did diabetic foot screenings for 12 hours and finger sticks for 12 hours *whew* - well done! The School of Nursing always works hard for the community at the Health Expo! Already looking forward to the Kids' Fair in April - it's a lot of fun! Thanks so much for making a difference Friday!

KEEP BRINGING YOUR USED PC CARTRIDGES TO HEALTH RESTORATION
We continue to raise funds for the Humane Society – The small pc cartridges we are donating are worth around $1 and the large cartridges bring in $4 each – This continues to be a worthwhile project, saving the animals and the landfill as well. The Humane Society truly appreciates your efforts! This is a year round project! Unfortunately, the need never goes away!
