DECEMBER GRADUATES AND GRADUATION CONVOCATION 12/7/03:
Plans are being finalized for the School of Nursing convocation the morning of Sunday, Dec. 7. You will soon receive information and invitations you can use to invite family and friends to the event. You will need to wear academic gowns for this so order them from the bookstore now. At the University convocation that same day in the afternoon, you will each be called to the stage by name and probably have your picture taken with President Hardesty. Both of these events are important and proud moments for your family and we urge you to attend both of them.
CAN I WEAR JEANS TO CLASS?
The policy for professional appearance for nursing students does permit jeans to be worn to class; however, jeans are not permitted in the hospital setting. Thus, if you are going directly from class to the hospital to gather patient data and to plan for your assignment, you can’t wear jeans to class that day.
