Ryoichi Akaba Gunma College of Technology New Isomerism in Cation Radicals The chemistry of isomerization of cation radicals such as triphenylmethane
cation radical to its proton-migrated isomers in which the benzyl hydrogen has
migrated to the ipso-, ortho-, meta-, and para-positions will be discussed.
We have found that many
similar hydrogen-migrated isomers of hydrocarbon cation radicals are more
stable than their corresponding parent hydrocarbon cation radicals.
